I have an 85 camaro with an 8 ball style shift ****. It is broken and missing the button so when I shift I must press directly onto the sharp plastic. I have not been able to find any of the 8 ball shift ***** for any reasonable price ($25 for a VERY used and probably broken one) I have ordered other 3rd gen shift ***** with a top mounted button but they don't fit. Is there a way to put on the other style ****? Also, I have heard reference to a "clip" inside the **** but don't seem to have one. If I buy a **** should this clip be included? One last thing. When I shift the gear I am in does not light up on the shift plate (P,R,N,OD,D,2,1) Is it supposed to or have I just been assuming it should?
