Default loss top end...

I just did a t56/4l60e swap and i have lost alot of top end. Im running a 3400 stall and 3.73 gears. Anybody have any input on why i would of loss so much top end? Its a rebuilt tranny as well with all fresh parts.

Well, right from the factory a m6 is going to pull harder up top than an a4, just look at mph diffrence in the 1/4mi between the 2. What brand stall? What str?

That's probably all it is....I've had both and I know the M6 felt so much faster even though my A4 is significantly faster than my M6 ever was. On top of that, TC's can affect top end pull. A higher STR converter may not be as efficient up top as it is down low. In my case, with a 2.5 STR the car feels faster up top than it did before but I have no way of testing that theory.

I found out today that my epc is not getting any amperage to it at all. Could this cause the tranny to slip in higher rpm's, not shift right, etc.?

In that case...can you check your line pressure? If you aren't getting any I suggest you stop driving it or it will self-destruct, fast.

I don't drive it much to begin with cause its not a DD but i just left it at the trans shop to get it fixed. The fluid still looked and smelt normal so hopefully i haven't tore anything up in the short while that i have drove it since it started this problem. They said they were going to put a gauge on it and see where the pressures were at.

Don't dyno race with a stalled A4. You are setting yourself up for disappointment. Stalled A4 = ultimate drag race weapon
