Switch to Yank?
Two years ago I decided to get a max effort converter for my Z. After researching for a couple weeks I ordered my TCI4400. I have been very happy with it, but I've been reading a lot of negetive **** about TCI lately. Should I switch to a PT4400? Are they that much more reliable? When I bought the TCI it seemed like Yank was getting a lot of negetive feedback, but now it looks like the tables have turned. Let me know what you think.

Are you having any problems with the converter now? Every company will get a lot of positive and negative feedback. The Camaro was getting enough negative feedback (and of course low sales) that is was discontinued. You didn't make a move to a Mustang. To me, this would be a pretty similar move. Stick with what you have unless there is a problem

I have'nt had any problems with my TCI. I'm very happy with the performance I picked up with it too. I just don't want to drive around with a ticking time bomb in my transmission.

TCI sucks, everytime I've dealt with these morons they've seemed to **** **** up. I will never run another TCI in my car again. **** up 3 out of 3, they had their strikes.
The first converter I ever ordered from TCI they promised it to be at my door in two weeks, and I promised to send them my money. A month and a half later after getting the run around for a month I finally get my converter. This was on a daily driver.
Second Problem was with a freinds car, I'm not sure if they've never made a billet case before or what but they didnt put the converter together right and it wouldnt seat. We had to send it back to them, ended up being a month plus for them to get **** lined out.
Third problem is with the converter in my car now. The lock up clutch seems to be going out of it and probaly taking a tranny with 1500 miles on it out too. I told them I wanted the stall 500 higher than a SSF (3500), i was wanting a 4000. I put the converter in the car and right off the bat it would grind when it locked up and was really really loose. I've had a converter in every car I've had and this thing is about like the engine just revs and blows threw the verter then the car shifts because the RPM's are so high. So I start getting suspiscous so I check the packing slip to find quote....
"Loose as possible"
on the packing slip.
I wont deal with those clowns again. They make cheap trash that is mass produced.
