Ive noticed that sometimes on my 1998 z28 I dont have 2nd or 4th. Car bogs when this is happening at low speeds. Also during this flooring it is useless because it wont/cant downshift. If I turn the car off and wait a couple of minutes it will shift and act normal except for the hard clunk when going to drive or rev from park. I get a 2-3 cyliniod code also. Is the tranny done?

 

change the 3-2 solenoid and you should be fine

how much do these run?

 

ussually around 25 to 30 dollars at gm dealer
