stall and the freeway?
It seems to me, when it downshifts, it TC almost has to spool a little bit. To me, if I select 2, at 70 MPH, and go WOT, it feels a lot better, but, if I let the tranny downshift from OD, it feels softer right off the bat. I know other people feel, from a freeway roll, that feel it doesn't feel quite the same. Now, from like 50 MPH and below, it feels way better, no argument.

my experience with stall converters is this: anywhere between 0-60 you will feel a gain (slower the speed, the more gain..) as you approach 60 mph the gain diminishes...and over 60 mph, i noticed nothing in terms of a gain, except MAYBE a LITTLE bit of pull (which equated to a bumper against an equal trapping auto with the stock stall). shift extension did nothing for my trap speeds (with the stock cam..) so i doubt you'll notice any difference from any roll higher than 50-60 mph. odds are, if anything, it will be slightly slower...big stalls are notorious for eating mph on the big end in trade for low end pull.
But on the freeway I notice that it feels spongy, it pulls but not as good as a tighter converter. You will lose power due to looseness of the converter. As also mentioned before you may not get the down shift.
