Default P0101 and TCC issue

Anyone know if this code will keep the TC from locking up properly?

Here is an explanation..

I don't believe it could directly , But a faulty MAF could cause misfire which could cause the PCM to disallow lockup

Hmm.. Well I just scanned my car and it says the TCC is being commanded to lock up.. But the TCC seems to slip when I give it gas and my trans temps are up about 50 degrees from normal.. I have a brand new Yank SS4000 it worked frin for the first 1200 miles.

P0101 is MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR PERFORMANCE.I had that but it was after I put on a ZO6 85mm MAF,I tuned it with EFILive,But I don't remember it affecting the TC.Can you clear it? See if it comes back.

Temps will go up with a higher stall.Do you have EFILive? Or did someone else tune it?

Yes I have efilive.. And the temps are higher than they are when the TCC was locking up.... I do not believe that PWM is disabled, not sure though.. Also though When scanning I see the duty cyle ramp up to 100% when it is commanded to lock.

Oil level looks good.. I had a local shop rebuild the tranny for me the same time the Yank went in.. I will probally take it back to them next week to have them look at.. I just want to know what is going on casue I suspect they will just blame it in the converter since I did not buy one of thiers.

Is there anyway to tell if the TCC solenoid is giving enough pressure to hold the TCC nice an tight? My fear is that they will blame the converter and I will pull send to Yank and they find nothing wrong with it.. I just do not have time or money to play games like that..

Yea I hear ya on the games.Did they mess with the valvebody at all? EFILive has a bunch of tranny pids go through them and see if you can come up with something before you bring it back.

They put a shift kit in it so I suspect they messed with the valve body.

Yes, I have not cleared it yet.. Although the SES light is not on, but the "Brake" light is on. But the brake light was on before the TCC started having issues.

Clear it and see if it comes back and if not see if thats whats causing your TC problem.Process of elimination.

I cleared it and the same result.

So I command the TCC to lock via the EFILive scan tool and nothing happens.. I tried it while stopped and I guess if it engaged it would kill the motor, but it did not the RPMs stayed at a steady 1000rpm idle speed. SO I would guess the TCC soleniod is shot?
