You removed you washer tank i take it. Was there anything else you removed. At this point i figure just run lit through the aftermarket cooler only, now fan or no fan and what size of cooler would be appropiote for me, the car is only driven in the summer (nice days, saturdays, sundays), and i from mn so it doen'st get too hot up here in the summer. I just trying to get the best setup possible like everyone else.

I have this one and it works perfectly, keeping mine down around 140-150 on drives and only hit 170 after repeated pounding on DR's...

http://www.bulkpart.com/Merchant2/me...roduct_Count=3

just found this, one of many charts around...

175o= 100,000+ miles, 190o= 90,000 miles,
210o (Pressure Drops) = 55,000 miles, 230o (Valves Stick) = 25,000 miles
250o (Varnish Forms) = 17,000 miles, 270o (Seals & Clutches Burn) = 4000 miles
300o + = TRANSMISSION FAILURE

the chart also works backwards, with different symptoms of course. 175 is the optimum temp for a trans to operate at.

thats a very nice setup. that would be great for a trans cooler and oil cooler for my LC2.

running it colder is not as bad as running it hot, but the colder the fluid is, the more soupy it is, makes it a lot thicker. Also if the fluid is not fully up to temp, then the detergents and other additives in the fluid wont take full affect.

i test valve bodies and solenoids on a solx machine. i have seen different readings when the fluid is cold and when it is warmed up.
