I had the same thing happen to me with a brand new ss3500. It started grinding on lockup the day after I installed it. I took it out and sent it back to them. They replaced it......the new one worked perfectly. I didn't ever know exactly what was wrong with it.

Just to update my problems, I had my FLT rebuilt even stronger, and went with a yank 3600SS and couldn't be happier. This thing is amazing, and pulls like a freight train.

Yank rocks!

 

After reading this thread and mine making that grinding sound I went ahead and pulled the trigger and purchased a Yank SS3600. By the way I was born in Melbourne and lived there for about 13 years. I would love to go back if I could.

I was born there in 75 and moved away in 89 when I was 13. I lived in Greenbriar Homes off of Croton Rd and went to Creel Elementary and Johnson Jr High. I visit every chance I get but I would definetly love to move back there.
