Well that would depend on your climate . but in warmer climates the radiator will actually heat the fuild so its much hotter than necessary , however if you live in a very cool climate you should probably run them in series during the winter month

when you have an after market cooler the only thing the stock cooler will do is decrease flow through the AF cooler and heat up the fluid, if a car is running temps higher than 175*.
Mike, i did man. But performabuilt hit it on the head, if you are daily driving the car the stock "cooler" will help HEAT up the fluid so your not pumping soup through the trans. Unless your average climate is below freezing than the stock cooler is no help, if your car is a daily in the winter then hook up the stock cooler for the cold months (under 32*) then for the warm months bypass it, kinda like how some people change t-stats out for the seasons.

Do you have any guidelines or recommendations at what cold temperature the stock cooler (well technically it would be a heater in this condition) would be beneficial?
