my sending unit for my autometer short sweep trans temp gauge got thrown away by mistake and i was wondering where i could get another. i saw thrm in the jegs pt#2258 but was wondering if any autoparts store would have one or one that would work.

also the wire 16 gauge wire was also lost. would another piece of 16 gauge wire work?

Any quality 16 gauge copper stranded wire should work.
As to the sending unit, I would go ahead and place the order from JEGS asap. Just my opinion.
