Default 4L60E shifting into 3rd and some times it wont. Brand new Shift solenoids

Any ideas. I have a 94 Camaro Z28. I can drive halfway down the street and it will shift ok and when i go to stop again and to drive it will shift 1 then 2 then no 3rd gear. I can run it up in 2nd gear about 4500 rpms+ and then it will shift.

have you watched the data stream to see if the shift is being comanded and also is the speedo working correctly and have you watched the tps to see if its in range, The Trans can only do what its comanded to and since you can get a shift at hi rpm it sounds more like some control issue

Well I would watch the data stream to see if the shift is being commanded first if it not then look at electronics sensors ect, if it is then look for a transmission issue possible sticky valve or something like that , was there anything in the pan debris metal ?

Then you need to get it on a scanner of tuner that lets you watch the data stream and see if th shift is actually being comanded that would be your next step for sure
