Easy Changes/Upgrades to the 4L60E?
Just looking for things that are relatively easy to upgrade (as in not having to pull the trans). The servo?, input shaft? etc?
Car will be running a 2400 stall with oil cooler. don't want a shift kit. My car is a 97 lt1
thanks

if you are putting a stall converter in, you have to pull the trans. To do any of the things you mentioned (servo, input shaft, etc..) you have to pull the trans. I wouldn't personally worry about the input shaft so much.. Servo, beast sunshell, shift kit(it doesnt mean it has to shift really hard, it just takes the slop out), upgraded clutches(hi-energy) & bands.. I am sure more experienced people such as performabuilt will chime in.. there is a lot more to it than just parts. A cooler is a huge thing too.
Well without a shift kit a sonax servo is about all you can do

please school me on the sonax servo. do you recommend a shift kit? I am going for longevity over performance for now.

Not all "shift kits" are for performance. A lot are for upgrades that the after market has researched or that the original manufacturer has found. If you dont like the phase "shift kit" just think of it as a "shift recalibration". lol.
Look up some Gil Younger kits, or Shift Technologies.
