Default Won't go into gear(drive) TurboNoma

I finally got the engine fired up but here is my present situation. If the torque converter were not engaged properly to the trans, will the truck not move when put into gear(drive)? I did pour in a quart of tranny fluid into the converter. Fluid level checks out ok on the dip stick. If the converter were not in all the way, would I hear some sort of noise that would indicate a problem? The bellhousing bolted up flush with the engine block. The engine starts up ok. No indications of the starter having problems turning over the engine. Only other thing I can think of is that I did install a billet servo kit at the same time. PEACE OUT>Tony

The servo would not cause it to not move . Assuming it wont go backwards either first thing to do would be to unhook a cooler line then start does any fluild come out?
if not and this may sound silly the filter is in it?
And if the filter is in there most likley the pump was somehow damaged during the install and it will have to come back out.
1 more qustion is this and ls1 engine in this sonoma ?
Wrong converter comes to mind.

I'll unhook the cooler line and check flow. I know for sure the filter is installed. The trans was working ok before I swaped out the stock converter with the new engine. By the way it's a 4.3 liter vortec V6. PEACE OUT>Tony

Default 4L60E tranny problems

The reason I ask is because when I installed mine I only added one quart. The dip stick shows the tranny has the correct amount of oil. I undid the line that connects to the upper part of the radiator and it's bone dry.No signs of fluid flow. What's my next step in determining what could be wrong? PEACE OUT>Tony

Thanks for your help and suggestions. If I can't find a local supplier of parts, I'd be willing to buy them from other sources. PEACE OUT>Tony

Default Damage report

I finally found out today what was damaged in my tranny. The pump is broke but my builder says it can be repaired. The reverse input drum is no good. The rest of the trans is ok. I'll be ordering the rebuild kit within the next day or two. PEACE OUT>Tony

Default On the move again!

Finally got my parts today and took them straight over to my builder. He said he should have the trans put back together by friday. As added insurance I picked up a heat treated imput drum, also got the Transgo shift kit. Can't wait to get it back in and take the TurboNoma for it's first spin. This time I'll make double sure the converter is in good and proper. PEACE OUT>Tony
