Won't go into gear(drive) TurboNoma
I finally got the engine fired up but here is my present situation. If the torque converter were not engaged properly to the trans, will the truck not move when put into gear(drive)? I did pour in a quart of tranny fluid into the converter. Fluid level checks out ok on the dip stick. If the converter were not in all the way, would I hear some sort of noise that would indicate a problem? The bellhousing bolted up flush with the engine block. The engine starts up ok. No indications of the starter having problems turning over the engine. Only other thing I can think of is that I did install a billet servo kit at the same time. PEACE OUT>Tony
The servo would not cause it to not move . Assuming it wont go backwards either first thing to do would be to unhook a cooler line then start does any fluild come out?
if not and this may sound silly the filter is in it?
And if the filter is in there most likley the pump was somehow damaged during the install
and it will have to come back out.
1 more qustion is this and ls1 engine in this sonoma ?
Wrong converter comes to mind.

The trans is almost out. Found a local racer who will rebuild it with all the right stuff to take the extra power. PEACE OUT>Tonyhttp://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t193/turbonoma1998/DSC01590.jpg[/IMG]]
Got the trans down today. I'm having it rebuilt here by a local racer. He says he can put it together so it can take my extra hp. The converter seems to be ok,don't know about the trans thou. Here are some pic's. PEACE OUT>Tony

Got the trans over to the builder today. Good news is the converter is ok but the pump is definately shot. Got a list of parts to rebuild the tranny to what I need. PEACE OUT>Tony
I finally found out today what was damaged in my tranny. The pump is broke but my builder says it can be repaired. The reverse input drum is no good. The rest of the trans is ok. I'll be ordering the rebuild kit within the next day or two. PEACE OUT>Tony
Finally got my parts today and took them straight over to my builder. He said he should have the trans put back together by friday. As added insurance I picked up a heat treated imput drum, also got the Transgo shift kit. Can't wait to get it back in and take the TurboNoma for it's first spin. This time I'll make double sure the converter is in good and proper. PEACE OUT>Tony
