getting th400, manual valve body? I made my mind up to go with a th400 made by www.rosslertrans.com
should I get a manual valve body?
with a manual valve body do you have do downshift also?
or just get a built regular th400 and when at the track shift it myself?

Re: getting th400, manual valve body? Get the manual valve body. It's much more precise and fast than manual shifting an auto valve body. While you're at it, have them install a trans brake. <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

Re: getting th400, manual valve body? Hitting the button on the 'brake puts it in 1st and Reverse at the same time. Then you rev the motor to whereever you want to lanch from (or floor it, if you have a 2 step rev limiter). Then when you release the button its sorta like dumping the clutch....
Allows much higher launch rpm than footbraking.
