Default Torque Convertors???

Question, I just traded my 2000 Z28 for a C5 vette, can you use a T/C from an F-Body to a C5 drive train, I am thinking no, but it never hurts to ask.

my first impression is no b/c the transmission in the vette is rear mounted. i know there is a difference in part numbers from the stock f-body converter to the y-body.
stock f-body converter: gold dot and part#8325
stock y-body converter: purple dot and part#6325

if these were indeed the same from the factory then there wouldnt be any issue, however i have heard rumors of some shops using them interchangeably. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

for further clarification if it doesnt come through the board try
