What is EVERYTHING I need to do a 99 A4 to TH400 swap, and where is the best place to buy it all?

You need to get the CPU reflashed...
New drive shaft
New Torque converter
Cross Member
TH400
Tranny Cooler, Lines, Etc
Flexplate, (probably reuse the one you have)

i was insterested in this also but i got a T56. i want to know who sells all the parts to do the job.

Flexplate, (probably reuse the one you have)</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">A4 to TH400, you can use your stock crossmember. The TH400 is only ~2" longer than the 4l60e. I simply moved my mount pad backwards 2".
You can also use your stock cooler lines
ATI built my convertor using the LS1 bolt pattern, so I used my stock flexplate.
You don't HAVE to get your PCM reflashed. But, you WILL have a ton of codes which you can have deleted with LS1 Edit. Ihave been driving mine for about 1 month with no reflash and I still haven't had the codes removed. No problems.

You can also use your original shifter IF you go with a forward pattern valve body.
