So far so good with my 4l60E. Had it built locally and it has been great. About 8,000 street miles and a best of 11.11@122mph. Running behind a 383 stroker....

The last one was shifting perfect at 100,000 miles when I pulled it. 70,000 with 4200 stall. I guess I've been lucky.

 

There was a certain WS6 here running 10 teens on a 4L60E consitently, full weight/interior car.

 

Do DD street/strip cars with 400-550rwhp need the 5 pinion stuff?

 

nope my brand new tci less than 1500 on the trans and now it's not going into 3rd and 4th it just keeps stalling up

 

I would pm these guys whos 4l60's are working. I am with 97blkz, there is a shop in tampa that is getting them to work. I am sure he can point you in the right direction

 

i have faith in the 4l60e's .....

my car is at that certain shop as we speak ... although i wont be seein 10's for awhile

no i'm not saying they won't work lol it's just that i'm pissed off that mine just went out on me the day i got all my parts lol.

 

I have made more than a few passes with mine since it was last freshend. Never broken any hard parts.

10.002 @ 138+ mph... Over 800ftlbs of torque to the wheels (including tq converter 3rd gear) 670+ rwhp.

I am just trying to find a Flexplate shield to fit it.

8's and 9's coming soon.
