I was wondering what is the best shift points for a A4 ? Keep in mind my car is all stock and best ET has been 13.20/105 mph with a 2.009 60ft" in my '02 SS. Now ,I've heard some people say 2+1+0. In know every car is different ,but is there a better set-up ? My goal is to run the best et I can without adding a stall right away. A 3200Vig is coming in the very near future . Thanks for any tips.

Unless you know thr rpm you want to shift at and monitor it with something like A-Tap, setting the shift points is pretty much trial and error. Start with the 1-2 shift increasing 1 mph at a time and see if the car picks up or slows down. If it picks up, increase it another mph until it slows down. If it slows down, drop it back 1 mph. Then do the same thing with the 2-3 shift. I leave the 3-4 shift at 0 since you never shift to OD in a 1/4 mile run. Every car is going to shift a little different so you need to taylor it for your car. There is no perfect setting for all cars.

W/200 mi on 345 hp lid, 3.23's, 17" Nitto's HPP3 set at +2 on 1-2, stock at 2-3, +50% firmness, I went 13.21, 105.6, 2.01 sixty, then 13.25, then 13.27. 75 degree day at a track in New England close to sea level. Both shiftpoints are right around 6000 w/this setup on my car. Vig 3600 & ET 8.5-26x15 Drags coming. Watch the TM, then! Get back. WJ.

Our set-ups are just about the same. I have mine set at 2+1+0 and ran a best of 13.20/105.41 with 2.009 60ft". I have my shift firmness set at 75% <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> . Keep me posted on what your car does,man. I just did the free ram air mod on my car. Hopefully thats good enough to give me a tenth or two <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> . Get Back.
