Default big tranny problem. need advice

well for the past few months my tranny has been really messed up. when i start out from a stop it stays in first gear way too long. i have to slowly accelerate until i get to about 19, 20 mph and then it goes into second. every other shift point is firm. the only other problem besides that is when i nail it from a roll my car just downshifts, and starts bouncing off the rev limiter. the problem has been like this for a few months now. havent fixed it cuz i cant find anyone that wont rip me off and i dont have the money right now. the cars isnt throwing any codes and the fluid looks normal. anyone have any idea?

I would get a scan tool on your car and look to see if the command for the shift is there. If not then you might want to have your tune looked at. If the command is there and you are hitting the rev limiter then it is a mechanical issue. Burnt band, broken 1-2 accumulator piston, broken spring and so on. Good luck. Vince
