Default is this true?

i heard this once from a guy and didn't think much of it because it sounded too easy, but now i've heard from several more people (about three). is it true that an lt1/4L60E can clip the 12's with ONLY a torque converter with a stall, a shift kit, and a final drive gear? sounds too easy, but is it possible? thanks.

I don't think it's quite that easy. Throw in headers, good exhaust, cai, a proper tune, traction, and good air, it should be in the ballbark.

There have been LT1's hit the 12's with tires and minor bolt on's. 6 speed Ram Air here did it with slicks and a tune.
