Default Converter install

is there a sure fire way to make sure that the pump is engaged correctly in the tranny? i know of the three click method but any other ways?

This is what I do...look at the tranny and find where the notch is then spin it so it is up and down...now place the TC on with the notch up and down..It will go right in.. To be sure just look to see if the mount tabs are in past the tranny mount flange. It is about 3/4 inch from the face of the tranny..

Yeah, we learned that hard way the damage that can be caused by only making 2 of the 3 clicks <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

Measure from the mounting face of the transmission to mounting pads/ring of the converter. It should be 1". There is some tolerance on this, but not much.
