Th400 on LT1...
Ok so i know this has been talked about many times but i need it just one more time... Were building a 383 LT1 and was thinking about upgrading the trany to a th350 or th400.. im not sure what is all needed cause we are going to run a manuel valve body so i dont need the kick down cable, but what else will be needed, i know i only use 5 out of six bolts... is there a custom drive shaft that is needed or will the stock one work??? thanks again...
You will need all six bolts if its going on an LT1. The LS1 only uses 5.
I used BMRs conversion crossmember that relocates the TA mount.
Your going to have to figure out how to hook up your speedo. Mine came with a VSS already installed in the tailshaft, true plug and play.
Your driveshaft will have to be custom made.
Any other questions shoot me a PM and I will help as best I can.

eather way you will need a new drive shaft, the yoke size is diffrent, you will need a 4 inch short tail shaft to run the BMR conversion crossmember, I got my sensor right from GM its off a early 90s GM truck.
you dont need a driveshaft if you go th350 instead of 400 (its the right length.. so i have been told by many)... and jsut need the tranny mount... torque arm (that dont mount on the trans)... uhh.. tranny dip stick.. its really a pretty strait swap.

Or if you ordered a TH400 from us you could get it as a TH375 and it would use the 350 yoke but you would still have to shorten the drive shaft
