I'm pretty sure it's not the 278mm version. I believe I got this one before he started doing those. I've had it over a year. And, I specifically requested that the STR of this converter be as high as possible since it was going in such a heavy vehicle. So, I'm sure he would have built me a 3.0 STR.

You know, I once had this converter in my black Z28 with the 422. It got put in there by completely by accident (long story.) Boy was it tight feeling with a 3000 lb raceweight and 4.10s. And with a 1200 RPM idle you could hardly hold the thing back! <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> It made the engine idle very nicely in gear by physically preventing it from being able to hunt and surge.
