By all means do it and keep us posted. I don't care so much about ratcheting, but the stock shifter has a nasty internal intermittent rattle that makes me insane and I'd love to get rid of it.

I'd like to see something that would work with the stock console, but if I had to go with an M6 console top, I'd do it.

I have seen a few done real nice. Auto or Manual Consol top is good.(base is the same) I have used both. Ratchet is easier to use that is for sure

I will be modifing my stock shifter for nine second duty

Another option is this Hurst....(not ratchet style however) Shifter

You have to modify the console a little bit but, not too bad.

i know its not a ratchet, but i have a little conversion piece to put a t56 shift **** on the stock shifter. should look ok with a c5 boot and a bm t-handle shifter

There is not much else to say about it, I just bought the shifter from summit and removed the old one to make new one fit. I had to trim the oblong slot in the console so the new shifter would have full stroke. I also had to use part of the stock shifter bracket to help elevate the new one. I will try to get some better pics to show you. As far as part numbers go, this is all I have to show for a link. LINK
