Can anyone help me with this problem Can anyone troubleshoot this problem

I was playing with stang today and when i hit WOT i got up to about 80mph with my RPMs hitting maybe 6 or 7 iam not sure. I then noticed that my car was not shifting gears it kept reving up like it wanted to go but nothing kinda like it was in nuetral. My car is an automatic with a Vig 3200 stall and i had my gears changed out. Is this supposed to happen???? Please help. If anyone knows of any good tranny shops in Houston that are honest and fair Please let me know thanks
