M6 or A4??
Alright basically ive been a mustang guy but im sick of seeing ls-1's hit 11's NA. So if you cant beat them join them!! So i am thinking about getting rid of my stang and goin the ls-1 route. The problem is i havent really messed with ls-1's much.
I just want to know is the a4 or m6 stronger.
Which one can handle more power? and
is a m-6 with a set of sticky tires faster than an a4 with a converter and sticky tires?

I have an a4 and I'm very pleased with it. I live in Los Angeles and drive in traffic a lot. It serves me well. On the other hand, I heard a lot of bad stories about the M6s popping out of third and sticking in 4th. They say that autos are quicker from a start but mannies are faster from a roll. IF you were to get a coverter though, you'd be smoking the mannies no doubt. Just my opinion. Of couse some one will disagree. That's what this board is for
I'll be the first to disagree . I've raced hundreds of other LS1's and the auto's are screwed from a roll especially. Out of the gate they're quicker but I catch up by the end of first. Non-converter auto's are gonna get killed no matter what, drag or roll. But, an auto with a converter is gonna eat a mannies ***, totally different game (considering equal power.)
As far as strength goes, the auto's definitely get the favor. There are auto's with the stock ten-bolt running in the 10's (I'm assuming they are beefed someway- heavy duty differential, maybe axles.. etc) where some 6-spds have broken the ten-bolt with stock power. You wear it down a little and get that one good hook and it's over. I had a friend that bought a fairly new LS1 that hadn't been abused. He put slicks on it and ran it at the track. He got six launches on it before it gave.
For a traffic environment commuter or strictly drag, i'd get the auto. For an all around cruiser and weekend warrior i'd get the 6-speed no doubt.
