love the car man, it is beautiful
when i had my torque converter put in everything was fine. It is a fuddle 4000 it doesnt surge or anything. It is just very loose and i want to program lockup at 25 mph.
I did have off torque managment and if your car shifts below the stall speed you cant really feel it unless your paying attention.
i didnt need a tune but at a shop that i took mine to get it installed, there was a guy that had a vig 3200 put on and he car surged. I dont know why but maybe it is just i was lucky. I think your answer is you will find out when you drive it.

Mine has been just fine with no tune and it's almost been 2 years, shure some things could use some tweeking, but i'll wait to get it tuned after I install my headers.

mine is WAY better after the tune, but i also just installed headers. before the tune you could barely feel it shift under light acceleration, but he firmed up the shifts and it's much much better now. the tune isn't needed, but if you do get it done, you'll be glad you did.

Some people seem to need it some dont, its always a good idea. Typical symptons are solenoid codes and bouncing the rev limter with a high stall over 3000 , Wether you will require it or not is hard to say , But performance will definatly be better with it, Also wether its with the tune or mechanically its a definate you need the PWM function eliminated to have long converter clutch life.

Its money well spent getting the car dyno tuned. Make sure they drive it after the tune to adjust converter lockup points and other items that will make your car much more easier to drive.
