We did an experiment years ago trying to figure out the dreaded OBDI no shift...(94 CAR). Anyway, we set everything to stock in the valve body and left the tranny tables in the computer stock. The tranny would not take 400RWHP up in the rpm in 3rd gear..Soon as I hit 5000+ rpm in 3rd it would start slipping...Remember I'm talking totally stock with no computer programing.....!!! And my car is not exacty light with a Roll bar added and 2 people inside during testing...My guess, a stock weight or a little less horse power in the mid range (I have a stocker) and the tranny would have held (for how long though, is anyones guess).
