DriveaTA- I dont want to come off rude........if I lost the verter bolts while driving wouldnt you think it would make some kind of noise? Three loose bolts would sound pretty fuggin bad if the car was running!

As I already know, the pump failed not the the bolts coming off. Im just stumped as to how the car ran fine for over a week if the veter was not installed properly. Is it even possible?

the same exact thing happend to my car..i put a new converter on and did hear 3 clicks, but i went and drove it, and then bam 2 miles later it wouldnt go forward anymore...motor would just rev up in gear and car wouldnt move.. i talked to a service guy at dealer and they said very unlikely pump could have failed. and more likely that trans burned up.. i dont know and they may be right but i doubt that...

the same exact thing is happening in both of our cars, this sucks

00NBMcamaro- yeah it sucks alright, I need to figure out why this happened. The pump would have busted from the get-go. Not a week and a half later. I think it was bad from the begining.

Later,

Matt

Default HELP!!! A4 TRANS FAILURE

New 2800 Vig/Trans cooler went in over a week ago. So this past Friday the car took a SH*T on me going down the Tollway with my girlfriend. It was in drive and just stopped moving when throttle was applied. The TRANS PUMP TOOK A DUMP ON ME!!

Here is my question?...is it possible for the car to have driven fine for over a week and a few hundred miles if the pump and verter were not clicked in three times?

Im 99.9% sure that it was clicked in 3x's. It never made any odds noises or nothing. It just quit!! Thanks in advance.

if you messed your pump up when you first did it, then it wouldnt have worked ever.

EXACTLY!! How did the car manage to go over a week without a hiccup if the verter/pump were not engaged correctly?
