ARP verter bolts or Grade 8 Bolts from local auto store?
Well i was wanting to get my Th350 tranny in tonight or this weekend but i forgot about having to get some bolts for the torque converter. I was told they needed to be grade 8 and 20mm long, so i called the local advance auto parts and they said that they had some but i was wondering ya'll think they will be fine or should i buy the ARP's? If i have to get the ARP's it wont be til next week before i could get them i think. Let me know your thoughts bc i sure dont want a torque converter bolt to shread in there ..

ARP is a waste of money IMO. You can use grade 8 if they are SAE thread, or 10.9 if metric. Use whatever you can get in the time frame you need them. I guarantee grade 8's won't break if installed right and kept tight.
I've used grade two 3/8" bolts in a one ton truck before. It was a temporary trans swap.
