Default Best place to get quality TH400

I just bought a 1967 Camaro and it has a mid 80's 350 with a 700r4. Also has a 10 bolt yet. Motor runs great, but when the trans tries to shift to third, the motor just revs and there's no hookup...I have to shift manually into second. I'd like to eventually build up the motor to no more than 600hp/700tq and plan on obviously getting a good 12-bolt. I just need to know from you guys what you think about the trans. I went through a lot of the posts by searching, and there's a lot of comments against the 700r4 when it comes to durability. I don't plan on drag racing every weekend, but I want a trans that will continuously deliver for me and be reliable with the power I'm planning. Let me know what you think about the TH400 for what I'm planning, and also where the best place to get it would be. Thanks a lot!!
