New block and rotating assembly are at the machine shop this week, I should have the new motor in by the end of the month.

What was your first impression when you first took her for a ride with the new tranny?

All things considered....I really like it.

I also run a pretty big cam for a stock cube motor, I thought that there would be some drive-ability issues with the cam and 4000 stall.

It's mild when you need it to be, and when you mash the pedal it runs like a raped ape.

you guys that worry about gear ratios with a th400 why not just put more gear in the trans and put a smaller gear in the rear

I loved my TH400 at the track. I hated it on the freeway. So much so that I went back to a 6 speed. At the track, I only shaved .20 off my best time with a TH400 vs T56. I was just way more consistant.

I used the flexplate bolts that came with it TCI.

The converter bolts that Precision Industries sent were too short....I don't remember exactly but I think they were M 10 x 20 MM long????

Threw a stock auto console?
What about the hole in the floor board?
