Car will go into reverse, but when applying gas hardly moves?
My friend just bought a 98 Z28, so she wants to sell her old 95 V6 Camaro. However the V6 Camaro just developed an odd problem that will make selling it hard. It's an automatic, and when you put it into reverse, you can clearly feel it engage. If you let go of the brake, it will roll backward, but when you apply gas, it feels like the rear tire is spinning eventhough it doesn't and the car is just not going anywhere. You really have to give it some gas just to get it out of a parking space. It drives fine going forward, any idea what that is?

So no cheap fix there? Either a new trans or the trans has to come out and have to be rebuilt? It can't be some sort of simple valve thingy that won't let fluid go where it needs to go or something like that?
The car is a 95 V6 Camaro with over 150k miles on it... with a broken tranny, she's not gonna get squad for it. Oh joy....she'll love to hear that!
