Default In the middle of a Moser 12 bolt install

I'm having trouble removing the C-Clips off the ends of the existing rear end to remove the axles. I can pry the axle with a screw driver, but there is just not enough room for the c-clip to fall out. Any ideas? And by the way, I need to remove the existing axles to pull the ABS rings.

Thanks in advance

You pulled the center guide pin for spider gears? Do the side gears move alot?

Yeah, I pulled the center pin and the side gears will move approximately 1/4 inch if you rotate the axle. It's the craziest thing, I replaced the ring and pinion on two other GM 10 bolts and I just pushed the each axle in and the c-clip just fell out. This time there is not enough room for the clip to fall out. Just out of curiousity, do you need to remove the emergency brake assembly/shoes?

if your abs ring is on the outside of each axle, pull the sensing unit off the backing plate (one bolt).
