**more Problems** okay, as you know in the other thread, the trans will not shift into 3rd.
changed fluid, 1-2 and 2-3 selonoids (sp) and it didnt help.
well, starting this morning, the car will not start off in 1st if you have the gear selector in D> BUT, if you pull the selector down into 1st, it starts in first.
WHAT THE HECK MAN!!!!
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Sounds like a problem my trans had. Wasn't getting any codes or anything. Computer was totally bypassing 1st gear... like it wasn't there when I was in Drive. Drop it to first manually... pulled hard. If you still have the trans in the car, try pulling it into third and see if first appears to be there. For me, while in third... it acted like I had first gear... STRANGE to say the least. I had to pull it out, shop told me I had a band broke or something... fixed it and the problem was solved. I have the worst luck with transmissions, so I know how you feel. Best of luck. Hope it's something easy.
