Th350 Vaccuuuuuum Modulator Question
Not a problem , But any TH350 or 400 that does not have a full manual valve body must have vaccume to the modulator from the engine. Once this is done Ajustments can be made in two ways to get the shift you want, You can turn the screw on and ajustable modulator clockwise to raise shift points and counter clockwise to lower them by a few MPH, Bigger ajustment requires a govenor kit and many times requires trial and error to get where you want to go , I say this because many people switch to a 400 or 350 thinking that its easier than solving problems with tuning and shift timing with the 60e and the 80e but really all they have done is switched to a different kind of tuning mechanical rather than software but it to can be tedious and definatly messy, The exception would be a FULL MANUAL VALVE BODY and in that case you become the software, But of course you could do that with a 4l60e or 4l80e also. Good luck and once you have vaccume post back the results .
