Default Whats The Lastest Info On 2001 Flexplates

I was wondering what is the "way to go" as far as what part # GM FLEXPLATE to use on a STOCK 2001 A-4 WS-6 T/A VERT I did search but many threads were old. i noticed the start up noise and now the CLANKING SOUND JUST GOT VERY LOUD. the car is parked and i wanna order a new FLEXPLATE. DO I GET A NEW GM AND IF SO WHATS THE BEST PART # TO USE??? OR GO AFTERMARKET AND HAVE TO SPEND
THE BIG BUCKS? THE CONVERTER IS STOCK AND THE CAR ONLY HAS
18K ON IT. THE CAR JUST HAS A BORLA CAT BACK AND A TUNE.
I HAS RUN A BEST E.T. OF 12.86 @ 109 MPH ON DR's

many thanks in advance

i don't wanna have to yank it apart again!

Great topic for our Automatic Transmisson section

Look for a stock '98 to early '00 flexplate or go with an aftermarket SFI one.

Not sure if this will work for you or not but this is the one I bought for my turbo 350 match up with my LS1. GM# 12551367 ( I had to elongate the holes to get it to fit my converter. I don't think you would have to do that.)

Or you can spend a few more bucks and check this one out:
