Blown corvette servo in new trans?

before ya'll leave to come out here, bring a new trans shift cable. I can't get park on the shift tower and on the trans to line up. So I took aprt the cable hoping that it would give me the slack needed and so I can readjust it. The small brass clip that holds the two cable together snapped.
Maybe it's time I go to bed?

I don't know what the solution is but I can tell you the problem witht eh gear change. I can start both the shifter and trans in park, go down through the gears all the way to 1 according to the column shifter. Reach underneath to the trans, move the gear selector and pop it into forst gear.

I've had enough for the day. I've got the cable hooked up but it still doesn't shift gear and the gear selector only goes from P to Reverse. It's time for a shower and nap and then go back outside to get the trans on the crossmember and hopefully cram it in the garage. Sure hope no one steals anything.
