Default Gear noise in A4 after dealer visits

Ok this all started 2 weeks ago. When you came to a stop and went to take off it would still be in high gear and just sit there and bog. If you pulled it down to 1st it would take off in 2nd. So the dealer changed out the valve body. It worked fine for about 15 miles then started up with the same stuff. So then they said they thought some aluminum casting may have gotten in there and clogged it up, so I guess they cleaned it out and gave it back to me. Well this time I pulled out of the place and made it to the turn lane when it started it again. So the third time I took it in the guy said he'd have a new transmission overnighted in and replace it. So last night when I picked it up the receipt said disasembled and checked found no problems replaced x number of seals etc. Anyway now the planetary gears are loud as hell. When it's in 2nd you'd think it had a blower on it. My Question for you fellas is do you think they'd replace it if I went back and bitched about the noises. Or if they'd just give me the it's shifting fine and some noise is normal line? What's your opinions??? By the way, it only has 4k miles on it.

Take it back and tell them that you spent your hard earned money on that truck and want it fixed! Next, if you get an attitude and they say the truck is fine, call GM's 800 customer service number. Chances are the dealer is calling the shots now, but after that call GM will get involved. I personally think you will see the results that you are looking for!!!! PS Be nice, until you have to be mean!

Take it back. Be firm, but polite. If they don't give you what you want, tell them to have the GM service Rep come in, and you'll talk to him. Also, call GM & let them know there's a problem w/Dealer's service on your vehicle. Be persistent, but DO NOT lose your composure. This will get results. Best wishes.
