I've had 2 transmissions from them, one 700-r4 and one 4l60e-both perfect. I've never had an Art Carr torque converter, but from what I've seen of them, they look like a high quality product.

I have one of their 700R4 trannies in my Monte. I like it quite a bit, and it has always worked fine for me. As for converters, I think they are kinda popular with the GN crowd.

I recently got a Vigilante for mine, but talked to AC before hand. They guy was telling me they used to own Precision, and the AC converter was a better/more refined version.

Whether any of that is true, I don't know. I just went with the old faithful/standbuy one and got the Vig. I don't make enough money to test out new stuff to see if the sales guy pitch was true

A friend of mine has one of their 8 inch Converters in his c4(Mustang). I believe that a free stall change is included with the price.

Well that is pretty interesting. I am glad I went with the Vigilante in my car then. I know a lot of people have had good success with Art Carr converters. But after talking to the sales guy, and now seeing Precisions response, I personally would stay away from them.

They do seem to make really nice trannies though
