PLEASE guys. i need your help ASAP! hey guys. im in the final stages of finishing up my engine/tranny swap into my monte. im trying to get it all done tonight, but ive run into a problem. i putting a 4l60e in it and ive been wrestling with this damn jegs crossmember all night that is supposed to bolt right up. the 4l60e came with the trans mount on the tailshaft, but the only way i can see this crossmember working is if i put the mount closer up to the engine, on the actual transmission case itself, not the tailshaft. there are two bolt holes and the little recessed pocket kinda deal on the trans right before the tailshaft bolts up. it looks exactly like the mounting location on the tailshaft. my question is, is it ok to use this instead of mounting on the tailshaft? what is this mount for? thanks guys
It fine in fact most cars use that one instead of the one on the tail housing

man every time i have a trans question i post in here and get a response from you right away. thanks so much man its really appreciated. ill def have to get with you about a verter after i get this thing running.
