Dumb Newbie question... When I launch, Can I rev my car up in neutral and shift it into drive at a higher RPM because my launches from just mashing the pedal in drive suck, but I don't wanna bust my tranny.... Sorry, Im really green with these cars at the moment, Im used to offroad trucks.....
Dont do that , Like he said you might do it a couple times but then you will break the trans or something else and that will cost you a couple grand or more, Cheaper to buy a converter or a gear or both

This may tell my age , but when I was 17 years old ans i my mothers 1970 4 door Impala 350/350turbo I found a way to do a nasty burn out . I wa like John Force before any body heard of him . Then one fine day the odds had run out on the neutral drops and I broke a pinion shaft off flush with the seal !!! So go ahead and rev that bad boy up and drop it into gear all you wan't to !!!
