Default need help with flywheel

i bought a 6.0 iron block out of a 2000 2500 and are trying to put it in my 2000 trans am. i have a 4l60e and my stock flywheel seems to push up aginst the converter so hard i cant line the holes up or harldy turn the engine over.
i made sure the converter was seated and everthing. ive hade it in and out like 5 times and no go. the flexplate that came with the 6.0 fits fine but since theirs 5 or 6 holes they dont line up.

I read that twice, but I gotta ask.... can you slide your fingers between the converter and the pump?

no already tired to make sure the converter was seated. the stock flexplate looks like it sticks out 1/2inch to far. im guessing the mating surface the flexplate mounts to at the back of the crank is a littel farther out on the motor, can anyone varifi this. its a bone stock 6.0 vortech out of an 2000 chevy 2500.
