Hahaha well, I know that the bellhousing is different, the input shaft is different (I think), I don't lnow about the internals. Best bet is to get one for an LS1, theyre not terribly expensive and you dont have to even ask the questions about fitment. Also, try a search, this has been asked a couple of times and you might get a better answer.

Thought you'd say that, I tried several searches as I always do. But I do really apprecate all the knowledgable individuals that are on this forrum, it really does help. I try to do my homework as much as possible, but sometimes it's tough and real time consuming to pull up. Sometimes all it takes is someone with the hands on experience and or knowledge and 2 minutes of the time. I found a good deal on a built one and thought I'd ****** it if it was pretty much a bolt in. But thanks again, and I will consider you reccommndations and do it right the first time, save the money and buy the propper parts!

Yeah, I hear the budget thing, I could have snatched a built LT1 4L60E for 500$, but it doesn't bolt up for sure and I think the internals are slightly different. Good luck finding one though, I ended up building mine myself because of my small budget.

I am still contemplating it, the guy says he's pretty sure that it bolts right up. I don't want to buy it to find out though! Anybody else know for sure? Thanks - Mike

Thanks alot man, I was at work today and could only search so much. Anyways it looks like a fun time to get to work, I think it would be advisable to go with the proper year if you ask me. Thanks again Arc00TA, the guy selling is still claiming to me that it is a direct bolt on. Go figure?

Yeah, I got excited the other day when I saw one in craigslist for cheap but when I called he said it was an LT1 style, he tried to sell me it anyways.

Using an LS-style 4L60E on an LT/SBC is theoretically possible, but you will need with a special bell housing spacer from GM Performance (sorry don't know the part #, but around $175) or check if a custom converter can be made.
The problem is that the LT/SBC crankshaft is longer than an LS one.

However, I don't think the '93 PCM can control a 4L60E; you would need a standalone controller ($500+). Only '96 and later PCMs can control an LS-style 4L60E.

So, in short, No.

Part number 19154766. Does not include Tq convertor. Just in case any one else is looking to mate a LS 4l60e to a OBS or LT/SBC engine.

Thanks for the part number!
While this takes care of the physical aspects, it still doesn't solve the PCM controller issues.
