Default tranny shifting at 6300 rpm!!!

Does a stock a4 in a 02 Z28 suppose to shift at 6300 rpm from 2nd to 3rd in drive . From first to 2nd it shifts right a 6000 (doing 60 mph in first). Is better for me to shift the gears myself from 1st to 2nd to drive???

You may need your tuning ajusted as far as shift ponts as long as the 2-3 shift feels good when it happens , Are you hitting the rev limiter or something at the 2-3 shift?

it's not hitting the rev limiter. A handheld programmer like the predator should take care of that problem right......should be shifting a 6000 rpm in every gear? Car has 78000 miles on it. Is it time to get it freshened up?

Well youcould have a little excessive 3-4 clutch clearance but it does take longer from comand to actual gear change on the 2-3 shift theres just more happening than with the 1-2 and yes that tuner should be able to handle it
