is 4200 to high for a 150 shot?
I know of some nitrous cars that have gone from a mid 3000's converter to a mid 4000's converter and lost et because of it... the nitrous just blows through the stall...
make sure you choose a converter with a higher STR, in the 2.5 range IMO... Check out Yank's SS series.
What does your rpms drop from-to after a shift (extension). I have a SS3600 but on my car it flashes to 4000 (stroker motor). My extension is about 1500rpms from 2nd to 3rd. That will handle easily a 175 shot to 200 before blowing threw (probably more). In most cases (unless your running a Yank Thruster Pro) a 4200 converter will drop maybe 1000-1400 rpms (again depending on set up and manufacture). If that's your drop then yes a 150 shot will work. It may not mile an hour great (again depending how loose it really will be) but your ET will drop big time. If that extension is less than 1000 rpms then it can blow threw pretty easy and 150 might be enough to do it. You could always just try it and find out.
Is it worth it (ET wise) to get a SS3600 instead of the a 4000. Ex. Is 100-150 shot enough to compensate for the 400 extra RPM loss, is it even worth it, how much would you gain on spray with a 3600 vs an NA with a 4000?
