The TH350 requires no PCM controls you will be fine to test drive it

Why would the car run bad because of a tranny swap? Sounds like you have other issues.

6 Speed swap? If yes open up the Throttle Blade a bit, It is seeing a load that was not there before from the converter.

Coming from a six speed swap would make sense....I wouldn't think it would be that bad though.

I dont know about running bad but with the different gearing of the 350 and since I dont know what converter you have in there I imagine it may feel quite a bit slower in the botom end than it did with a 6 speed unless you got alotta converter or some lower gears in the back.

If it is a tight converter you might have to do some programming. With a 3600 stall mine ran fine on the stock M6 tune but had TH400 not as though that would make a huge diff though. The M6 programming is very accepting of its new transmission. Idled in gear just fine.

Well when you add the weights of the converter and flex plate and then the clutch and flywheel they will be close to he same

Weel seeing as the manual trannys dont have electronics controling them you should be able to drive around with just a simple install of the TH-400.

Just a quick question but why is everyone going with 400s??

The Th350 is not electronically controlled so it will never know the difference lol

True. But you would have to tune the PCM if your running a VSS sensor for your speedo..

Stronger and cheaper to build than a 350. They seem to do a little better in the heavier cars like f-bodies.

im runing stock botom end. more power comingf soon, so i need a tranny that will hold perty good. did my research on th350 and th400. 350s transfer more power to rear wheels but dont handle as well as a th400. due to tranny housing and and clutches inside. th400 are much stronger.
