Ive had em both. Id take the fuddle any day over tci. The lockup clutch didnt last for nothing on the tci. Both converters feel about the same but i'll never ever buy another tci product.

Lock up or not?
I'd go with TCI for a non lock up and neither for a lock up.

I replaced my TCI SF3000 which slipped like crazy, with a Fuddle
custom that holds anything I can give it (even WOT lockup). The
Fuddle now has more miles on it than the TCI did when I took it
out. I went up 500RPM in stall but have the same low-pedal
cruise RPM around town (lower STR, 2.0). Its efficiency is a little
less than the TCI (95% vs 97%, by the slip numbers, leaving out
any torque multiplication; however locked (WOT) vs unlocked up
the causeway shows there is still multiplication out to 5000RPM).

I guess "I got what I paid for". Only I paid a lot less and got what
I wanted / asked for. Which is in fact key, since it's a custom
deal; be specific and know what you need.

The only thing I liked better about the TCI in retrospect was its
balance, it was smooth like stock while the Fuddle has a little
bit of vibe. But after the cam swap suddenly I can't notice it
anymore....
