The ones on TCI's page are just run of the mill SBC/BBC flaxplates. Nothing for an LS1.

I couldn't find a single flexplate at all on ATI's page...

Paul, I believe JS is mistaken on this one...

Any idea when ATI plans on releasing this?

Well I just spoke to Art and Jim at ATI and both are telling me there is NO prototype out yet nor at this time will there be anything at PRI. The only thing they have at this time is on paper. JS who is your contact at ATI I would be very interested in talking to them. Seems you've seen it in person and ATI is claiming it doesn't exist. We are talking about a flexplate here not the Stealth Fighter. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> Please let me know who you talked to over there.

Just because they say they dont have it doesnt mean they dont have it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

News to me,They told me it would be at PRI?In defense of myself,I was picking up 2 trannies for customers and they showed my a SFI that was SUPPOSED to be for an LS1?

No doubt I didnt inquire too much after that.
Maybe they hood winked me?

I don't understand what's so difficult about getting this thing into production. The bolt pattern (on the crank) is the same as a late one-piece rear main SBC, and the diameter is the same old standard 168-tooth, AFAIK. The only difference is the depth from the flange (that mounts to the crank) to the converter mounting area. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

There is some issue with the flange and the manufacturing process or SFI approval. They are working it several different ways, one of them being just to have a flat flexplate and an adaptor ring. I hope soon cause I want one as bad as you do. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Do you guys know for sure that the bolt pattern is the same as the one peice rear seal Gen I? I've seen heard rumours saying both yes and no :-/
Does someone know for sure what the LS1 bolt pattern really is?

Which direction is the depth difference? In toward the engine, or out toward the tranny?

I've heard (again I haven't been able to actually measure it) that it is .400. Does anyone know if that number is correct?

As far as flexplates, if everythings that same except for the depth, and you're running a 4L60E, which is supposed to bolt up to the back of an LS1, I don't see why a standard flexplate doesn't work. The depth issue should be resolved by the tranny I would think <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Does anyone have answers for the bolt pattern and depth questions I mentioned above?

The bolt circle on the LS1 is 3.112". The late model GM flexplate ('86 up) was 3.000". If there is enough interest I'll be glad to check on building an SFI version.

Thanks for the number Kevin!

Do you happen to know if the .400 depth difference is correct? And if so, which direction?
