st3500 and 315 nittos = smoke
are any of you guys hooking at the track with this combo? i just got back from my first try, crappy track and only ran twice after waiting for 3 hours... first try i heated them up got to the line and nailedd it, lots of smoke and little forward aceeleration 2.4 60ft. next up i stalled it to 1000 rpm and let into it a little easier at about 1/2 throttle they broke loose and a 2.2 60 was the end product. i think my first problem was little track prep. what do you guys think????
Think you're gonna need a lot more tire. I have BFG DRs and just a Yank3000. Can't even stall it up at all or they spin. I launch off idle and still have bad traction problems. Forget about a ST3500! Try ET streets?

It's the track prep! I have seen people hook on smaller nitto's just cause the track was well prepped. That is a good tire, just try to get your track to do something about the ice capades on the starting line. The 3500 hits hard off the line, but with some practice you'll get it to launch. I have a vig. 3200 and nitto 275/40's and have ran 1.70 60' times on a semi prepped track.

I had a couple of 1.67 60 fts on 245-50-16 Nittos with mt ST3500. A bad pass was low 1.70's <img border="0" alt="[Firebird]" title="" src="graemlins/formula.gif" />
I've seen a 1.60 on the 245 nittos with a ST 3500 and 3.73s. Track prep has a lot of influence.
Stall it up to 2k and roll hard into the throttle; that should get you into the 1.8s worst case.
